Edithe's cheeks flushed a bright red as she tried to control a burst of emotion in which her petite, fragile frame contained. She looked down, smiling and nervously playing with her fingers. Rhys, satisfied and utterly proud with himself, though he dared not show, quietly beamed and wrapped his arms around her.
As they continued to gaze out into the night sky, the breeze embracing all around them, Edithe held onto Rhys tightly. And resting her head on his chest, she realized, she was holding onto many things.
She was holding onto love.
She was holding onto purpose.
And above all, she was holding onto life.
Her newfound life.

The ending bit of a little something I wrote today.
I had an urge some time last week and the idea was just gnawing away at my brain for a few days. And I finally completed it today. Please allow me to feel proud of myself. ^_^
I'm not happy because this is the best. Or that it's unique, cause it's not.
But I'm happy that this is finally a start after a long time.
I think I got my writing mojo back. :D
